hey UU

i like the sign... but won't you please play along? i listened to that other one three times today.... i am ready for the next motherflower of a jam! hit me with your bad self.....

(if you are pasting the html link from photobucket in, just replace the first part of the code with a link of your choice.... in case you didn't know. i am just explaining how to make your image link "click through" to something other than your photobucket account.... as in, you could edit your post so the cool photo clicks through to the hot jam you are gonna lay on me! )

right...

it just makes it fun for me, throwing up a pic linked to an audio file.... so i am just pointing out to those that use Photobucket how easy it is to link your photo to a tune or show....

but like i said the other day... i really like what you have done using that site. very cool....

Thanks for looking veb, I'm glad you liked the set-up and McClure poster I tweaked one of 'em a bit, the other one below... it was kind of fuzzy so I stuck a border and the title on it, at the time a step or half a step forward on the learning curve.
If I can do this, anybody can:

OK, you can put a pic in a post by picking the html code with the open arrows at each end (like so): < etc etc >

the direct link doesn't post a pic, that's for small boxes with just room for the code only I guess.

Then, as described above, you can remove the first line of arrowed in code - and substitute the archive code for a show you want to have pop up when someone clicks on the photo in one these posts, such the reply you might make to someone in this thread.

If you leave the bucket code the way it is, it'll pop back to your bucket page when the pic is clicked.

Keep the 2nd line of code linking tour photo as is in the second set of arrows, and keep the the last little line of code in the arrows that looks something like this: < / a > (if I get too literal, the arows vanish from this box!
Leave that little a in the third set of arrows alone alone unless you don't want your photo to link to anything.

Then, cut out the 1st line that starts off like this -< a (space) href (no space) = " blah blah " >

the second line between the arrows (including the arrows) is the code that makes the pic appear.

Keep the and put an archive code such as: http://www.archive.org/details/InMyMerr1932 inside replacement arrows + you'll have to add the < and then: a href=" followed by a closing: (but with no space between the arrows and quotes or code, except for just one open space between the first a and the href) " > thats all you have to wrap around the usual LMA or IA bookmark address in that replacement 1st line of code, (the code for the show or whatever LMA bookmark you've copied to share here as per usual).

it's easy, I'm just making it complicated with too much talk!
I'll try one and see if it works:

greatful dead 1967

This is a really strong 1971 show, from 8/26/71 - check it out, not a gig people expect the prince of '66 to go for!

THANKS for the info!!!

I tried that; though embarrassingly I must of written it wrong on the first try. I shall give it another go with a more focused mind and your post as reference.

Hopefully I can control the power; though you might be seeing some pics of the avalon ballroom, the great american, along with pics from other venues and sights.

I usually, due to my limited knowledge and exposure to the music, don't make personal recommendations. I can't really explain what it was, but track 16 just grabbed me the first time I heard it and I keep going back. A word of warning, it is a cover tune, and one that is often a throwaway when compared to the original. You wouldn't really even consider it a "jam", but I just like it, OK. And I'll bet this is the first recommendation you've gotten for this tune.

you see... that is the THING -- you can't go wrong with a deadhead if you are talking bout the dead!

It Hurts Me Too isn't exactly what i had in mind leading with Other One ... but, you absolutely HIT THE SPOT with YOUR CALL. you have cited a great rendition of one of Pig's best blues numbers -- i love it...... and on a tape, it would fit just fine after that OO....... HELL, They bust into miss 1/2 to chill the crowd out... why not this instead?

I can't argue with your call on It Hurts Me Too. Pig tunes are regularly recommended here, and I know of no one who would classify ANY Pig tune as a throwaway. But IHMT is track 14 in the linked show. Track 16 is normally considered to be a weak Bobby tune, but this version shines for some inexplicabe reason.

And I can assure you this is not a "joke post". I have also lauded this version of the tune at Deadhook almost 2 years ago.
